Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) – *CLOSED*
IMPACT is no longer accepting new applications for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP).
If you have already submitted an application, your application will be processed. IMPACT has the funding to provide assistance to all applicants who qualify.
IMPACT will continue to collect documentation and approve applications until all submitted applications have been processed.

If you are facing eviction, please contact Iowa Legal Aid. People who cannot afford an attorney may be eligible for their services. Call 1-800-532-1275 or visit their website iowalegalaid.org to apply online.

If you are being evicted and your rental assistance application is still being processed:

It is important to go to your hearing. Often if you do not appear at the hearing, the judge will enter an eviction against you, even if you had a defense.

Only a judge can enter an order to evict a tenant. You cannot be removed from your home until a judge has entered an eviction order. You may have defenses to an eviction.

If you are currently homeless, please utilize the Primary Health Care- Homeless Support Services. Their services are provided as a walk-in appointment only at 1200 University Ave. #110A, Des Moines, IA 50314.
