At IMPACT, our nonprofit relies on the generosity and commitment of volunteers to support our food pantry, outreach efforts, and essential community programs. Whether you're looking for a short-term opportunity or can volunteer on a regular basis, your time and compassion will make a real difference for families in your community. We have volunteer opportunities available at our Des Moines, Ankeny, and Boone locations.

How You Can Help:

• Food Pantry Assistance – Assist families while they shop for groceries, bag groceries, walk families to their vehicles, stock shelves, clean pantry, unload and weigh donations, package online food orders for pick-up or delivery.

• Food Deliveries – Deliver pantry items directly to the homes of individuals who are unable to visit us in person in Polk County.

• Food Rescue – Pick up food and hygiene donations from local partners and bring them to our offices.

• Front Desk Reception – Greet families as they come in, check families into the system, schedule appointments, keep the waiting area clean and orderly, and provide families with resources.
