Fan and air conditioner donations accepted at all Des Moines fire stations.

DES MOINES, Iowa — IMPACT Community Action Partnership and the Des Moines Fire Department have partnered again to collect fans for families in our community.


The community is invited to donate a new fan and/or air conditioner (in its unopened box), by dropping off at any City of Des Moines fire station (listed below) during normal business hours. Donations will then be taken to IMPACT’s offices for distribution.

IMPACT Community Action Partnership’s mission is reducing the barriers and burdens that families in poverty experience by increasing access to essential needs. IMPACT serves over 46,000 individuals annually in five Central Iowa counties: Boone, Jasper, Marion, Polk and Warren. IMPACT collaborates with more than 400 community partners to deliver the following essential services: housing assistance, energy assistance, food and hygiene products assistance, and local community-based assistance including disaster assistance.
