IMPACT welcomes new board member, Indira Sheumaker

IMPACT Community Action Partnership is thrilled to welcome new board member, Indira Shuemaker, Des Moines Ward 1 Councilwoman who was newly sworn into office on January 10, 2022. Indira’s committee assignments include board service with IMPACT Community Action Partnership, where she will be seated at the next board meeting scheduled for January 27, 2022.

IMPACT’s board is comprised of residents from our five county service area: Boone, Jasper, Marion, Polk, Warren. To gain a broad base of perspectives board membership is designed to include 1/3 elected officials, 1/3 private citizens and 1/3 individuals with lived experience of poverty or direct connections to those living in poverty.
